Step 1: The Water - It's always best to use spring water or filtered water when brewing rooibos tea, as the tea will have the most pure taste.
As for water temperature, it is preferable to brew rooibos tea leaves in boiling water .
Step 2: The Tea - The standard ratio of tea to water, is one heaping teaspoon of tea leaves per eight ounces (one cup) of water. For Rooibos we generally recommend adding more tea as you can always re infuse .
Step 3: Steeping - Rooibos tea has a longer steeping time than most other teas. The shortest amount of time it should steep is four to five minutes, but steeping Rooibos tea for five to ten minutes greatly increases the amount of antioxidants and nutrients in the finished cup.
Iced Tea : brew Rooibos tea following above directions and leave out to cool down or add ice to do so .
When completely cold add one cup of pomegranate juice and enjoy !
(To make one gallon of ice tea you need to add 1 cup of loose Rooibos tea & I cup of juice . )
